I’m going to start by saying, despite what I’m about to write in this blog post, maybe taking risks and pushing boundaries is not something a responsible person would do in the face of our current global situation. Or maybe, it’s better to say, feel free to take risks and push boundaries, in the comfort of your home and maintain physical distancing if you do have to go out.
Or perhaps I’ll just write this post thinking about the days ahead of us, where the virus has been eliminated and we are all thriving and living closer to normal days than we are now.
Wicked Disclosure is a book about taking risks and pushing boundaries. Sabine Cowan has fought her way to the top of a multi-billion a year industry and reigns supreme as the Queen of all things naughty. Even so, there are things that she just doesn’t ever do…like show weakness in public or allow herself to be dominated. When Trent Brooks enters her life, she finds that she just can’t get enough of his particular kind of sexy and the ways that he pushes her to meet and then pass her thresholds…well…all I can say is, it’s super hot.
I’m not going to lie, I don’t really do a whole lot of risk taking. I’m not one of those people who dreams of skydiving or swimming with sharks. I would, however, like to pet a tiger (or any big cat) if given the chance but it’s not something I would seek out (no Big Cat Rescue for me). I don’t have any desire to backpack across a country on my own or even stay in hostels in a foreign land. But I do think it’s important to push yourself outside of your comfort zone and do things that will help you grow in some way, whatever that may be.
And that’s what Wicked Disclosure is all about, testing limits, pushing past them, exposing yourself to the reality of being vulnerable in some way and seeing what will happen when you do.
Everyone has their own measure of comfort and I’m not going to dictate what that looks like for any single person. I do think that it’s important to reflect on where your boundaries are. It’s super important to know that about yourself so that you can go into any situation with a good idea of how you’ll respond. When it comes to pushing outside of comfort zones, you have to know where you’re starting from to know where and how far you want to go.
In Wicked Disclosure, Trent and Sabine discover how important it is to be honest about what they want from each other and what they’re willing to explore together. That leads to explosive chemistry and some very interesting and, at times, challenging, experiences.
