To say life has been busy would be a wild understatement. There’s been travel, non-writing work, and family hijinks that have kept me away from my desk more days than not in 2024. That’s led to a very obvious lack of blogging.
Getting back in the habit is a small step to getting back to my normal online life. To that end, I’m doing photos! Each week I’ll share some random photos off my photo roll and talk about what I’ve seen this week.
My latest get-away-from-the-city trip was to see spring flowers and visit the tulip festivals. So have some pretty flowers and enjoy your day!
Cherry blossoms are part of the landscape in mid-to-late April. They’re the harbinger of spring and the sign that warmer weather is finally coming. Around my town, the cherries bloom around the same time as the magnolias, which is an interesting combination
Tulips are not native to Korea, but they are native to Central Asia (think Persia and Iran) but there are multiple tulip gardens throughout the country. I visited one on the west coast towards the middle of the season. Some of the tulips were only starting to bloom. Others were completely dead. There’s probably an amazing lesson about blooming in your own time there, but I’ll leave that for someone else to write.
