Winter hit the Pacific Northwest late this year. December was mild. January was delightful. February… *shakes head*
I’m writing this Sunday night because I have no intention of being up early on Monday. There’s four inches of snow, the roads haven’t been cleared since it fell on Friday, and the kids are getting another snow day. After being in Alaska I’m underwhelmed by the general response to snow.
I get it, the roads are trash and the city isn’t plowing them and there are people here who have never driven in snow before. There are legitimate safety issues. That doesn’t keep me from daydreaming of being, oh, 3,592 miles away.
And you know I believe dreams can come true with a little bit of work, lots of boxes, packing tape, and willingness to drive three thousand miles. You know where this is going?
WE’RE TAKING A ROAD TRIP!!!
Summer 2019 I am officially leaving the beautiful Pacific Northwest for the beautiful Atlantic coast and moving to South Carolina!
Who’s ready for the next big adventure?
South Carolina is my home state! Great place to be. Congratulations!
I’ve lived there before, but I’m excited to go back. There are warm beaches! Palm trees! Less snow!
